Description
Hearthbound is a cozy multiplayer village game in one shared online world. Players claim a plot in their neighbourhood and make a timber cottage their own, grow a kitchen garden, look after cows, sheep and chickens, and ride horses through the square, the market street and the country lanes.
Below the village lie the troll caves: real-time combat with abilities, critical hits and dodges against trollkin, goblin archers, brutes and the troll king, plus hunting with rifles for loot. Every day Mira, the village guide, hands out a few small goals with rewards. Players trade at the market and with each other, send gifts by mail and talk in text or push-to-talk voice chat.
The game is made by a very small team in Sofia, Bulgaria, and is in early access: it is updated several times a week and updates install themselves. Art and code are made with the help of AI tools.
